As I took World History and participated in several classes, I noticed that the world is connected with each other. It does not have to mean that the world is connected in geography. I learned that all civilizations and cultures affect other countries and are affected by them. Although the ancient civilizations do not exist now, most countries and cultures are similar to them such as development of writing and how geographic settings affect the cultures. Those developments of civilizations and cultures are basic elements of present nations because the records from ancient people have the way to farm, how to worship gods, the people’s rules like Hammurabi’s code, how to offend and defend from enemies, and the way to make weapons and they helps current people to develop their lives better. They also connected to each other and have some similarities and differences like religions, geographic settings, populations and technologies. From this class, I learn the civilizations are connected and affected each other.

As I began to take World History classes, I have learned that all history happenings have their backgrounds, reasons, sequences, and influences. A background of a situation results the reason why that situation occured, and that situation will make sequences and then, the sequence will influence to create historical happenings. I found it very interesting that all historical situations are interelated each other in various ways. It’s just like these days, and interelationship is even getting bigger and bigger since we are living in a global world. Once any issue begins to arise, it affects all over the world in a positive or negative way. So, we should investigate and concern issues that are happening around us. Also, we cannt just ignore the history that happened long time ago since they can be an example of what is occuring these days. So, I have learned that history is the thing that we have to concern constantly.

I think the comment that Ruth posted is really appropriate for this type of questions. She made a really good comment that all early civilizatoins as well as the society of today are connected and interrealted in some ways.
